On July 23–24,Schneider Electric hosted the“2026 Schneider Electric Overseas EPC Ecosystem Partners Summit”in Nanjing,China.It was a great honor for QT POWER to participate as a panel builder representative and gain valuable insights from experts across various fields on overseas market trends and business opportunities.The forum offered valuable perspectives for navigating international markets and will further support QT POWER’s overseas business development.
At the beginning of the forum,Mr.Lv Ning,General Manager of Overseas EPC Business,provided a detailed overview of Schneider Electric’s business strategy and market presence overseas.His presentation covered key industry value chains,priority target countries,case studies from the Belt and Road countries,overseas business strategies,and the different types of Chinese companies expanding internationally.He also outlined the major regions targeted by Chinese companies—including Southeast Asia,the Middle East,Africa,Central Asia,Europe,South America,and other the Belt and Road countries—as well as key industry sectors such as power,oil and petrochemicals,transportation,construction,industrial manufacturing,urban infrastructure,data centers,and mining and metallurgy.
The Secretary-General of the China International Contractors Association provided an overview of the business performance of Chinese contractors in overseas markets.He noted that Asia and the Middle East remain the major markets for Chinese contractors.In terms of international engineering business,Chinese contractors account for 25.4%of the global market,with annual turnover exceeding USD 120 billion,ranking No.1 among contractors worldwide for 11 consecutive years.Chinese engineering companies have now established operations in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide,with the Asian market serving as a cornerstone of China’s international contracting business.The major sectors include construction,transportation,power engineering and construction,oil and petrochemicals,mining,industrial construction,water conservancy,and processing and manufacturing facilities.
For contractors seeking to expand overseas,the Secretary-General recommended focusing on core business areas,optimizing market portfolio,conducting in-depth research in country,customer,project,and adopting a targeted market strategy and building a strong presence in selected markets.He also encouraged closer collaboration with design,supervision,and consulting firms and moving key project-related activities further upstream.According to his presentation,major overseas project opportunities are concentrated in areas such as data centers,power generation and renewable energy,electronics,automotive,PSB,and OEM.
The head of the panel builder business line provided an overview of the current development of China's panel builder industry.Overseas business volume is expected to grow 145%in 2026 versus 2025,and the number of leading panel builders with steady overseas operations has exceeded 300.Overseas projects of Chinese panel builders are mainly distributed in Asia(68%)and North America(19%).By industry,these projects are concentrated in data centers,MMM,power generation&new energy,and electronics.
Ms.Kang Meili,who oversees the medium-and low-voltage switchgear business,provided an overview of current development trends in the MV/LV switchgear section,as well as support policies for panel builders.Her presentation covered target-market standards and certifications,opportunity insights,risk identification,value creation,ecosystem partner development,resource connectivity,win-win collaboration,value enablement,partner leadership,and deeper engagement with key accounts(KAs).In addition,the switchgear business provides bilingual Chinese-English documentation,support for overseas certifications,industry solution upgrades,and testing and certification services for electrical equipment.
At the dinner hosted by the organizer,panel builder representatives gathered around Schneider Electric's industry experts,raising questions,discussing strategies to address challenges,and exploring collaboration opportunities—exchanging insights on the bright future of overseas markets.The forum concluded with great success.
